After post about the legit Amazon Driver Chat text message, we had to write about the real text message scam. As you know, we are already mid September and it’s this time of the year to buy online and visit our favorite retailer. As you can see on the streets, we do see a lot of Amazon trucks, this mean, a lot of people are ordering from them and they might not be surprised to get a text message from amazon from time to time.

This one is easy to notice, as the URL used is “amazon-activity” and we know that it is not a legit Amazon website (WHOIS). But, like I’ve said times and times, it’s easy to click on a link in a text if you are already waiting for something.

This kind of scams might want to take your Amazon credentials or simply ask for your credit card information to make sure you are the real owner of the account. As you can see, the text is: “Amazon: Your account has been temporarily restricted. To restore access visit the link below:”

This is not a new scam, it’s been online for ever, but again, it is a Scam and as always, you should never open links from sources you’re not 100% sure of.
